This role will be our internal event manager throughout all stages of the process including planning, traveling and executing.
Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
· Supports the promotional planning process.
· Supports the project and event management process through the creation of project plans, timelines, and process development
· Other Project and Event Coordination as assigned
· Manages staffing solutions and training needs
· Manages event and event material logistics including internal communication, personal travel, and negotiations
· Develops/manages exhibit and presence development for collector car related events
· Supports delivery of promotional materials from third party vendor
· Supports development and garnering of recap materials for event related promotions
· Acts as a staff representative at promotional events and manages third party promotional staff (1-2)
· Supports capture of data base of promotion participants
· Manages the shipment / receipt of event kiosk and event materials
· Manages the creation and delivery of promotional collateral and giveaways
Technical/Functional Qualifications
· Undergraduate degree with 2+ years of special events/promotion and/or related experience.
· Knowledge of the consumer promotion industry
· Knowledge of promotions role within the marketing mix
· Experience in setting up display on-site. Ability to lift / carry 50lbs.
· Experience working events for major B to C corporations
· Able to build strong working relationships externally and internally
· Strong negotiation and evaluation skills.
· Experience in executing events which last long hours.
· Exposure to evaluating promotional effectiveness.
· Proven ability to work in an ever-changing environment with multiple priorities, with highly demanding timelines.
· Strong written and verbal communication, presentation and problem solving skills.
· Proficient in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel and Powerpoint
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills coupled with a positive, energetic attitude.
· Must be willing to travel 40-50% of the time including weekends.
