Position Title: Driver & Tour Manager - Canadian Mobile Mktg Tour

Job Description:

The Specialized Marketing Group, Inc. (TSMGI) is in search of two experienced field staff for an upcoming 9-month,mobile marketing tour through Canada.

 

One (1) driver must have a CDL Class “A” driver’s license.

One (1) tour manager must have a valid driver’s license and be English/French bilingual.

Tour driver/manager teams encouraged to apply.

 

 

Tour Description:

·                  Our client is a leading supplier in the building materials industry.

·                  A 9-month tour, running from Mid-March – Mid-November

·                  Tour will visit ten (10) provinces in Canada

·                  Tour appearances will average 4 hours

·                  Program vehicle consists of an F450 pulling a 32-foot gooseneck trailer that will showcase an authentic NASCAR race care. Trailer opens up and will feature an interactive display area of the client’s products from the building products industry

·                  The tour will visit such locations as construction sites, materials distribution locations and vendor/retail stores

·                  Work week consists of mostly Monday – Friday work days. There may be the occasional weekend appearance.

·                  Additional days off, maintenance days and travel days will be built into the schedule

Specific Requirements

Job Requirements & Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

·                  Driving and maintaining a presentable and clean tour vehicle (including oil changes, tire maintenance, etc.)

·                  Setting up and breaking down at appearance location. Including but not limited to off loading the show car, setting up the interior display, additional elements such as sound system, stanchions, etc.

·                  Confirming with appearance location prior to arrival, space needs, load in/out procedures, etc.

·                  Arriving on time and conducting yourself in a manner that positively reflects your relationship with the client and TSMGI

·                  Being respectful and helpful to the client’s sales representatives, clients and customers

·                  Interacting with and when necessary, deliver client approved talking points, to the customer on client products.

·                  Engaging participants in tour elements, specifically but not limited to data capture kiosks

·                  Distributing and maintaining premium inventory

·                  Any and all additional elements that contribute to the success of this tour

·                  Post-event reporting: attendance information, pictures, feedback and comments

·                  Communicating with TSMGI any and all inventory needs, program/scheduling concerns, problems and/or questions.

·                  Abiding by all company and DOT rules and regulations

 

You must be/have:

·                  Personable, approachable, outgoing, reliable and professional

·                  Strong verbal and written communication skills

·                  Strong work ethic

·                  Proactive - to tackle, troubleshoot, resolve and react positively to challenging situations and problems

·                  Prior tour experience

·                  NASCAR knowledge a plus

·                  Solid computer skills including MS Office, Internet and e-mail capabilities

·                  Able to lift 40 lbs, stand for extended periods of time

·                  A valid passport

·                  Able to travel 100% of the time for the duration of the tour

·                  Drivers must have a valid Class A CDL with air brake endorsement, a clean driving record, an understanding of a commitment to abiding by DOT regulations

·                  Manager must have a valid driver’s license

·                  Manager must be French/English bilingual
