OK, you've created your online profile and (hopefully) added some pictures of yourself (if you haven't yet, go to the Personal Gallery Login to do so). Now, what do you do with it? Get it out there! Start giving the online profile link to prospective employers, industry contacts, and anyone else who might be interested; we explain how to do this below. If you have a homepage, blog, or your own website, you can place a link to your online profile on it(we'll cover that, too).
SIMPLE INSTRUCTIONS:
To find the address for your link, login to your gallery profile (it should look like this Example Profile), then look at the address bar in the browser for your unique address. In Internet Explorer it will look like this:
So, if this was your profile, the link to your profile page would be:
http://kandu-marketing.com/event-managers/manager-360.php
Your actual link will look almost identical to the one above, the one difference being your unique id number:
http://kandu-marketing.com/event-managers/manager-000.php
IMPORTANT!!
Make sure your link is not:
http://kandu-marketing.com/event-managers/newmanager-000.php
This will still link your profile information but, your gallery photos won't be displayed.
Once you've got the exact address for your profile, you can now start sending it out to people. One easy way to start doing this is by adding it to your signature in emails you send out. All email providers allow you to automatically attach a signature to any emails you send out, most people usually choose to put their name, return email address, phone number(s), random links, or just about anything. You could use this signature to link your online profile, something maybe like this:
"Sincerely,
Jane Doe
come see my online event management profile at:
http://kandu-marketing.com/event-managers/manager-360.php"
How you link your profile is up to you, be creative.
WEBSITE LINKING INSTRUCTIONS:
Linking to your online profile from a webpage is easy. Just get your unique address by following the instructions above, then use it in a hyperlink on your page(s). The great thing about a hyperlink is that you can have text appear instead of the actual address, which isn't very visually appealing.
For example, you could insert the following code into your pages:
and the resulting hyperlink would look like this on your pages:
come see my online event management profile
Make sure that you click the link a few times once you've inserted it onto your pages to test it. You can use any wording, even graphics and images if you are feeling creative. Again, the choice is yours, be creative.
